Cécile’s head is in the stars put her feets are on the ground. She never loses the north, the way, the aim. She is here on the boat she has built herself with her La Ciotat friends. Even if she has never reunified all the sponsors... Being in Saint Malo is ever a great victory in this perilous race from the first day. She hopes to arrive in a good position, she won’t.. no regret.. Her boat will take her away. She is sure and ever thinking in the 2007 world race...

La Route du Rhum (El “Rumbo del Ron” ) es una epopeya reservada a los hombres –y a algunas mujeres- que tienen el coraje de afrontar los mares, el cielo, las olas, las tempestades, la inmensidad. Se necesita un alma guerrera para atreverse a participar en tamaña aventura. Y el público conoce a sus héroes, por eso vienen en masa a rendirles homenaje. En la línea de partida se encuentran los mejores, los capitanes con nombres de leyenda. La marea humana los aclama y ellos sienten crecerles las alas. Es la primera prueba que tienen que pasar los marineros desconocidos como Cécile Poujol, la chica de Marsella como le llaman sus amigos…

Cécile tiene la cabeza en las nubes pero los pies en el mar. Nunca pierde en norte, el rumbo, el objetivo marcado. Cécile esta ahí, sobre ese barco que ella misma construyó junto con sus amigos de La Ciotat, y sin todavía contar con todas las subvenciones que le serán necesarias. El hecho de ya estar en Saint Malo es para ella como una primera victoria en una carrera altamente peligrosa desde el primer día. Cuenta con llegar a la meta en buena posición, tal vez no lo será realmente… pero no se arrepiente. Al contrario, ella está segura de que su barco la llevará lejos. Cécile ya está pensando en la carrera alrededor del mundo en el 2007.
